Today is a victorious day as we have just learnt that the Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has granted clemency to Cyntoia Brown.  Brown was convicted in 2006 in Davidson County of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery in the 2004 murder of Nashville real estate agent Johnny Allen after then-16-year-old Brown was picked up by Allen and taken to his home.

Prince Harry and Suits actress Meghan Markle have been dating for 'a few months' and this was confirmed by the man himself today.  The two met through a close friend of Meghan, Markus Anderson.  In a rare statement on his love life, Kensington Palace said Harry is 'worried about Ms Markle's safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her'.

Cristiano Ronaldo will remain with Real Madrid for another 10 years after signing a new £500,000 a week deal. The 31-year-old Portuguese's last deal was set to end in June 2018 but he will now remain with the Spanish giants until June 2021. He added that the new contract would not be the last deal he signs. "What I most want is to continue enjoying the years I have left to play," said the former Manchester United player. "I still have 10 years." Real Madrid president Florentino Perez added: "We want to be together for many years to come."

The former NBA great, Scottie Pippen has filed for divorce after it became apparent that his wife Larsa was hooking up with Future. They met in August at the Haute Living Color Reveal Party in Miami, and have been seen at various places ever since. The NBA great, 51, filed for divorce last week amid claims police were called to his Florida home twice this past month before the legal filing due to 'domestic disturbance'. Larsa and Scottie agreed to a divorce several weeks ago, but then backed off. Now court documents reveal Mr Pippen has asked for 'ultimate responsibility' of the couple's children Scottie Jr, Preston, Justin and Sophia

It has been reported that Atlanta rapper Carlos Walker, aka "Shawty Lo", was killed in a fatal hit-and-run accident Wednesday morning. We are deeply saddened and send our condolences to his family and friends. Shawty Lo vehicle was struck by another vehicle while on I-285 southbound at Cascade Road. Walker's car hit two trees before catching on fire. Authorities say one person died after being ejected, and two others were transported to the hospital.

Bland was pulled over for a minor traffic violation on July 10 2015 by state trooper Brian Encinia. He arrested her following an escalating conflict during which he alleged that she had assaulted him and which was recorded by his dashcam and by a bystander's cell phone.  After authorities reviewed the dashcam footage, Encinia was placed on administrative leave for failing to follow proper traffic stop procedures.  Sandra Bland was later found hanged in a jail cell in Waller County, Texas, on July 13, 2015. Her death was classified as a suicide by the county coroner and was followed by protests against her arrest disputing the cause of death and alleging racial violence against her.  Attorneys for the Sandra Bland family say a settlement has been reached in their civil suit.
